About the wine
In 1904, the winegrowers around Alba united to form a cooperative. The young Alfredo Prunotto was also there. But the First World War ruined all dreams. During this time of crisis, Alfredo met his wife Luigina. With a shared passion, the two have rebuilt the company under their family name.
Tasting note
Dark, bright ruby red. On the nose, a very open, intense and finely spicy berry aroma. Medium-bodied on the palate, fresh, fruity and easily accessible. Good, harmonizing tannic acid game. A charming berry fruit with subtle spicy notes. Medium length, refreshingly elegant
Culinary recommendation
Perfect for pasta or bollito misto.
Vinification
The Barbera grapes are pressed immediately after harvesting. The mash fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks. The young wine then matures for ten months in large oak barrels of 100 hl and is stored in the bottle for a further four months.
