About the wine
With experience and instinct, the winemaker from the Spanish winery Bodega Alegre Valgañon masters this red wine in the fertile and enchanting landscape of the Upper Ebro. This provocative Grenache 2020 — Bahierra Tinto DOCa Rioja is literally a hit down to the last drop! Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this grenache with spicy dishes or burgers with blue cheese.
Tasting note
Fascinating nose of cherries, violets, bitter oranges, pepper and chocolate. Invigorating palate with fine tannins that leave a silky mouthfeel. The finish is long with notes of tobacco, pepper and raspberries.

Vinification
About 25% of the grapes harvested by hand as a field blend are left as whole grapes and fermented with natural yeasts. The wine is then aged in two 500-liter barrels for about 14 months with virtually no intervention and sulphurized minimally.
