About the wine
Do you already know the powerful Corvina Amarone della Valpolicella DOC born in 2012? If not, it is time! These grapes give us enchanting and fertile landscapes in Veneto, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Cantina Valpantena conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. The Flaschenpost team guarantees a culinary experience if you serve Corvina with recent cheeses or hearty meat dishes.
Tasting note
A modern, fruity Amarone with excellent value for money. The color of this Amarone is ruby red with garnet shades. On the nose, floral notes and hints of wild berries and cooked fruit. Juicy and velvety on the palate, full and round with a long finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with stews, venison and aged cheese.
Vinification
For this wine, fully ripe healthy grapes are picked by hand, then dried on gratings in well-ventilated rooms and pressed in January. As a result of the drying process, the berries lose around 40% of their weight. The dry-fermented wine is stored in oak barrels for at least two years before being bottled.
