About the wine
The Azienda Agricola Il Roverone is located in the heart of Valpolicella in San Pietro in Cariano. Wine with passion is the motto at Il Roverone, located in a rustic country house, surrounded by 6 ha of vineyards. An additional 3 ha are located in the Roverone vineyards in S. Ambroggio. Corvina, Corvinone Veronese, Rondinella, Molinara, Oseleta, Croatina and Sangiovese are planted, as are the Garganega and Malvasia used for the white sweet wine Passito.
Tasting note
Intense, rich bouquet with aromas of ripe fruit, marmalade, plums and almonds, full-bodied and elegant on the palate, velvety, a fascinating Amarone. Aging in barriques and small wooden bottles for 30 to 36 months and a further 12 months in the bottle.
