About the wine
Hand picking of selected grapes, maceration on the skins at a temperature of around 26°C for 15-2 days. The racking is followed by malolactic fermentation, followed by 12-month storage in wood (French oak barriques) and final refinement in the bottle for 12 months.
Tasting note
Shiny ruby red in the glass, bouquet with notes of black cherry, myrtle, herbs and violets; good body, lively tannins and pleasant taste.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with “carnival lasagna” (specialty of southern Italy), legume and cereal soup and mixed cooked meats.
