About the wine
This snappy Sangiovese 2012 — Rosso di Montalcino DOC is a hit right down to the last drop in the truest sense of the word! The winemaker from the Italian winery Terralsole masters this red wine with sensitivity and intuition in the fertile and blooming landscape of Tuscany. Flaschenpost team promises a culinary experience when you serve this Sangiovese with pizza or lamb.
Tasting note
This Rosso di Montalcino impresses with its sparkling ruby red. Fresh notes of dark berries, ripe plums and light hints of chocolate and black cherries flatter the nose. On the palate, the juicy fruit, lots of melting, a well-integrated fresh acidity, charming tannins and a slightly sweet note are pleasing. A top-class Rosso di Montalcino!

Vinification
The grapes for this Rosso di Montalcino grow on well-drained soils at approx. 350 m above sea level and are all carefully harvested by hand. After temperature-controlled cool and slow fermentation, the wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels of 600 liters. The wine then enjoys a bottle storage of at least 4 months. The production is approx. 3000 bottles.
