The shared vision that everyone at Bodegas Protos is burning for is to make the best wine. «Protos» is the Greek word for first - an allusion to the history of the winery, but also a statement for the future.
No one embodies this claim better than Marilena Bonilla Blázquez, the head oenologist of the tradition-rich bodega. The winery was originally the founding winery of the «Ribera del Duero» wine region, one of the most important wine regions in Spain since then. Today, it is their pioneering spirit that allows Protos to constantly evolve and thus remain one of the best wine producers in Spain.
