About the wine
The castle of Auvernier is one of the links between former and present size. As late as 1914, 400 bottles of Pinot Noir Château d'Auvernier from 1911 were emptied on the occasion of the anniversary of the Prussian Guard. The current owner of the castle, Thierry Grosjean, is proactive and cosmopolitan, and his wines are also highly appreciated abroad.
Now until 2025
Tasting note
Pale amber yellow. Aromas of green and tropical fruits, such as pear and pineapple. Very rich, ripe and balanced on the palate. Long aftertaste.
Culinary recommendation
Perfect with braised or fried fish dishes. The same goes with a veal blanquette. With stews in general.
