About the wine
If you're looking for something special, don't miss out on this dominant Trincadeira 2013 — Pêra-Manca Tinto DOC Alentejo. Sunny and picturesque landscapes of the Alentejo give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Portuguese winery Adega da Cartuxa conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. Tasting note
Needs air, is still subdued, but the suggestions are appealing. The faint scent of cassis and blackberry, framed by a smoky note, and the subtle sweetness of the wood shape the bouquet. The fine-grained tanning agent conceals the subsequent spiciness, and a dense, dark cocoa flavor develops. It is the dominant element until the long, strong aftertaste.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with beef, venison and hard cheese.
Vinification
Fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Long maceration. Aged for 18 months in 3000 liter wooden barrels and stored in bottle for 24 months.
