About the wine
There is something left over from Christmas dinner every year. Do you know that? The winemaker from the Spanish winery Enate Viñedos y Crianzas del Alto Aragon has absolutely mastered his craft. Style and finesse are the characteristics of this white wine, which originates in the beautiful Somontano countryside. Flaschenpöstler culinary tip: This Chardonnay is excellent to serve with fish with herbs or goat cheese.
Tasting note
Bodega Enate, a family property, is a superlative winery. The vineyards and the winery are impressive and Jesus Artajona is one of Spain's most respected winemakers. Jesus has a soft spot for Chardonnay, this classic from the bodega is vinified in Burgundy style, fermentation and subsequent aging with yeast take place in French oak barriques. Stirring up the yeast (bâtonnage) helps the wine melt and give it a more complex aroma. A perfectly balanced wine with mineral notes, dense and intense without being heavy.
