Clos du Châtelard Chardonnay Grand Cru 2022 - Charles Rolaz / Hammel SA

About the wine

Enchanting and sunny landscapes of Vaud give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Swiss winery Charles Rolaz / Hammel SA conjures up this white wine with refinement and sensitivity. There is always something left over from Christmas dinner. Do you know that? Why not invite your friends to a glass of wine in the afternoon to enjoy the festive meal again and we recommend this dominant white wine 2018. Flaschenpost team tip: Combine this Chardonnay with fish with herbs or goat cheese.

Tasting note
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with fish terrine, scallops, salmon, frog legs, poultry, mushrooms, cheese soufflés, goat cheese, etivaz
Vinification
For many years, the entire winery has been managed according to environmentally friendly principles. The ripeness of the grapes is regularly monitored shortly before harvesting to determine the optimal harvest time. The harvest amount is strictly limited to guarantee the highest quality. The harvest is picked by hand and sorted out after arrival in the cellar to keep only the best berries. After gentle pressing, alcoholic fermentation takes place. The wine is aged for 10 months on fine yeast in oak barrels. Slight filtration takes place before bottling.
