About the wine
Cloudy Bay Chardonnay. An impressive wine from the Marlborough region of New Zealand. A scent of white flowers and sparkling citrus fruits, as well as spicy and nutty aromas.
Tasting note
White peach, apricot and flowers with notes of hay. Delicious apple and pear notes are balanced by spicy vanilla, hazelnut and a subtle saltiness. Plenty of citrus acid and a long aftertaste.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with grilled salmon or trout.
Vinification
After gentle pressing, the grape juice was settled and bottled before being transferred to French oak barrels (including 20 percent new barrels) .After fermentation was complete, the Chardonnay matured for a further 11 months before being assembled. 21 percent of the wine went through malolactic fermentation.
