One can only salute this kind of pioneering spirit: Hans Kristian Jørgensen and his wife Carrie have written an admirable success story in the Alentejo, and the next generation is ready with motivation. They fell in love with their magnificent hacienda “at first sight” at the end of the 1980s. They started almost from scratch, always going their own way, with natural farming and farming methods tailored precisely to the hot Mediterranean climate. Just ten years later, Cortes de Cima was awarded the leading position in the region by Wine Spectator. “Incognito” is the name of this pure Syrah because this variety was previously not approved in the region and was used “undercovered”, so to speak. However, it prevailed, not least thanks to the huge success of Incognito. Here, the quality of the winery is condensed into a vinous masterpiece. Impressive intensity, typicality and depth of flavor.
