Tasting note
An elegant, dry wine with a sophisticated salmon-colored robe and delicious notes of raspberries and rose petals. A single sip is enough to discover the taste of crushed pomegranate, the sweet freshness of watermelon and a subtle acidity.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with dishes with trout or salmon, oven-roasted beetroot or beetroot carpaccio.
Vinification
The Mouvedre grapes come from the slopes of Simonsberg and from various valleys in Franchhoek and the Western Cape. After harvesting, the grapes were macerated on the skin for 2 hours and then pressed and cold-fermented in stainless steel tanks. The wine was stored on the yeast for 3 months before bottling.
