About the wine
The landscape of Tessin is mountainous and hilly, whose fascinating expanses don't fit on a postcard, but in a bottle. With a lot of feeling and experience, the winemaker from the Swiss winery Vinattieri Ticinesi ensures that his craft inspires and convinces you. If we can offer something special for Christmas 2022, it's this distinctive Merlot 2020 — 811 Rosso del Ticino DOC, wooden box. Flaschenpöstler culinary tip: This Merlot is excellent to serve with duck or poultry.
Tasting note
Intense red color, fresh, rich bouquet, notes of berries, such as currants and blackberries. The oxygen supply gives the wine a floral note of violets. On the palate, the wine is distinctive and full-bodied. The first impression is that of a structured wine with great aging potential. These characteristics are the result of the masterful aging of the three different grape varieties: Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.

Goes well with game, barbecues, burgers, potato dishes, mushrooms
Vinification
The wine is vinified in Bordeaux style in French oak barrels. It is then aged in French oak barrels for at least 18 months.
